New Beginnings

Wearing: Aritzia Silk Sweatshirt | Front Row Shop Pants | H&M Shoes (in stores) - Similar | All Saints Beanie

I wonder what 2013 is supposed to feel like... it's officially a new year which should mean new beginnings and some big changes. I hope everyone had an amazing New Years Eve (I know I did). And if you missed it on Instagram, I was sporting some it's New Years so I have an excuse to wear sequin pants - found here. I'm so excited for what's to come in 2013 - I know it's gonna be a good one for We Wore What. 2013, let's begin.

On Site Dressing

Wearing: ASOS High Gloss Pants | BarIII Sweater | Zara Heels | All Saints Beanie

When dressing for a construction site, one must consider the following: Something to stand out, like a reflector or let's say... ridiculously glossy black pants. Oversized knits would be useful to keep warm when working outside and to hide any cuts or bruises from falling in the mud. A hard hat, or in my case a beanie - for "protective" gear. And last but not least, a great pair of shoes for when operating heavy machinery. [Sarcasm at its best and my new friend Jerry] PS- I revamped my ombre a bit at Arrojo Studio the other day (if you go ask for Mary)!

PS: you can still buy pieces from my vintage collection here (I suggest the White Mesh Shorts, Ivory Shearling Jacket, and denim cut-offs).

ATTN: New Yorkers, the Vintage Twin pop up shop is in its LAST DAY - definitely stop by if you haven't been yet! Info here

Hailing Hands

Wearing: Vintage Sweatshirt | ASOS Jeans | Alexander Wang Heels

Here they are guys, the heels behind the story (this story). How lucky was I to find these babies in a random thrift store at a great price?! And how about this weather! It's still pretty warm, but cooling down a lot, enough to wear a graphic sweatshirt with some trash denim jeans. I love you Fall.

New York Fashion Week {day 4}

Wearing: Paige Denim Jeans (gifted) | Equipment Blouse | Zara Heels

In the final stretch of New York Fashion Week SS13, we travel to the cobble-stone Meatpacking District where style is at an all time high. The anyone's, who's anyone strut their best Tommy Ton ready ensembles just waiting to be spotted by the street style photographers on every corner of Milk Studios. Trust me, this is place to be in NYC for people watching {not Times Square, you tourist}. Here are some of my favs from the man of the hour, and my photography idol... Tommy Ton.

Walter Love

Wearing: Walter Baker Dress | H&M Jacket - Similar | F21 Necklace - Similar | Topshop Heels

I can confidently say this dress is pretty high up there as one of my favorite dresses ever. The other day I went to Walter Baker's showroom and pulled a ton of pieces from their Spring/Summer collection - so definitely expect to see a lot more of his stuff on my blog. Walter's been killing it lately with awesome colors and prints, and trust me, you're not ready for the amazingness of his Fall collection.

I randomly linked up with Sean(a great photographer) when shooting this dress, so he decided to take some "professional" shots for both our portfolios. Here are a couple of shots of looks that day and with Kelsey of Fashion Ace...

Skulling Out

Wearing: Current/Elliot Jeans | Necessary Clothing Blouse | Topshop Heels

So as part of my Spring shopping I picked up these awesome buckled heels from Topshop. I've been eyeing them for a while now and saw them as the perfect version of an edgy black bootie and summer sandal. Do I even need to mention this skull blouse? We all know I love skulls, and this silky sheer blouse takes the cake.

If you're in NYC come see me walk in the IFB Inside Generation Style  runway show this Wednesday at the Metropolitin Pavilion. RSVP here
