Cat Eyes

Wearing: Topshop Shorts - Similar | Necessary Clothing Top - Similar | H&M Clutch | Shop Jeen Sunnies

Can't get enough of these of cat-eyed sunnies I picked up from Shop Jeen showroom the other day. So what if I kind of look like I'm from space or get weird looks in the street? I like em. Check out Shop Jeen for more affordable and adorable sunnies along with some pretty sick jewelry/accessories. I'm off to Denver, Colorado tomorrow for the BarIII flea tour round 3 (yeah that rhymed). Come see me if you happen to live there.

Insta-Birthday

I had the most amazing birthday weekend thanks to my closest friends and family. Sequins was a theme I stuck with for my two big nights out because what better to scream "all eyes on me, it's my birthday" than a sparkly ensemble. I have lots of new goodies now that I can't wait to share with you guys, cheers.

After a restless Memorial Day Weekend / birthday celebration I can finally kick back and relax a little bit. The weather has turned (for the hotter) and it now feels like Summer has officially begun. I went home this weekend and was forced into a closet-clean-out by my mom. So happy I was though because I ended up finding pieces of clothing I had totally forgotten about and can't wait to re-wear. Pretty sure this happens to everyone, you never know what will come back into style from your high school wardrobe...

Leaving the Village

Wearing: Vintage Top | Topshop Pants | Topshop Shoes | H&M Jewelry |  Quay Eyeware Sunnies (gifted)

Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone! This weekend is extra amazing because it also my birthday weekend, woohoo!! I can't wait to celebrate with pool parties, brunch in Meatpacking, clubs at night and my favorite people. I also found a new apartment which is kind of sad because I have to leave the West Village (which is favorite neighborhood in NYC), but oh well the apartment is so worth it. I'm sure I will have lots to tell come Monday...lots.

BarIII At The Flea - LA

Wearing: BarIII Blouse | Betsey Johnson Shorts | H&M Jacket | Topshop Oxfords

Round two of the BarIII Flea Market Tour lead us across the coast to L.A. Nestled between scenic mountainsides, the outdoor Rose Bowl Flea Market was a little slice of vintage heaven filled with shoppers showing off their eclectic sartorial tastes. The flea featured tons of vendors selling all sorts of treasures - vintage clothing, antique furnishings, and even '70s-era metal lunch boxes. I got to bond with awesome bloggers Sincerely Jules and L.A. Fashion Snob at the BarIII tent, and took my "lunch break" to do a little (well, a lot) of vintage shopping. The result: denim cut-offs, a floral romper, a vintage YSL blazer, a denim bomber jacket, and some weathered rocker tees. While in town, I made sure to stop by L.A. hotspot Katsuya for a bite to eat, and ended my night at the Mondrian SkyBar to see my girl DJ Lindsay Luv spin for a stylish crowd. As much as I loved my trip to the West Coast, I'm definitely ready to come home to the city that never sleeps. Next stop, Chicago!

Buttons

Wearing: Vintage Blazer | Work Custom Pants | Theory Tee | Jennifer Zeuner Necklace (gifted) | Quay Eyeware Sunnies (gifted)

Had a big day of filming and interviews today, yes I said filming. There's a little something in the works right now for a show I might be doing that I really can't tell you anything about yet - so sorry. Anyways, how sick is this blazer? I bought it at a street vendor on West Houston and fell in love with the gold buttons plastered all over it. And these new sunglasses - from Bollare showroom - I'm obsessed!

Big thanks to Jennifer Zeuner for making this gorgeous necklace just for my blog!

Reformation

Wearing: Vintage Blouse | Reformation Shorts | ASOS Flatforms

My summer has officially started and I couldn't be more excited for all the activities I have in store. This weekend I went to EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) in Met Life Stadium and had the most AMAZING time with my friends. The house music was bumping and the you could feel the bass from the ground up. For all my electronic dance music junkies - download the Carl Cox set now, oh yes oh yes! This coming weekend is not only memorial day, but also my BIRTHDAY! Not sure how I'm celebrating yet though; Hamptons, pool party, nightclub, maybe all three.

Overalls

Wearing: Vintage Overalls - Similar | Walter Baker Tee | Tobi Creepers Shoes

The last time I wore overalls was probably my 6th grade hoedown and they most likely had patchwork bandanas plastered all over the denim. After visiting The Vintage Twin last month, I realized that this childhood staple could now come back to me as chic Spring/Summer wear. My suggestion to you - is wear them a bit oversized (but belted), with a fitted/structured blazer, heels, and a bunch of layers. Or, just throw on a rocker tank and call it a day with a pair of converse. There are so many ways you can glam up these grungy dungarees and all it takes is a little creativity. I bought this pair I'm wearing at the Rose Bowl Flea Market last week and now I kind of wish I bought more!

Here's some other takes on the trendy dungarees brought to you by Free People (and hand-picked by me).

Vintage Carolina

Wearing: Vintage Carolina Herrera Blazer | Vintage Button Down - Similar | Paige Denim Jeans

Last week at the Green Flea Market I found this gorgeous vintage Carolina Herrera blazer. From the shoulder pads to structured shape, this is one of my favorite finds yet. I've officially decided to define my style as the perfect mix of vintage and new. There's nothing more rewarding than pairing something from decades ago with a fast-fashion piece of clothing seen in stores now. It's my way of staying "on style" with my own unique edge. All my vintage pieces are basically one-of-a-kind which makes them even more special. Not to mention, this style of mine saves my wallet just a bit.

Love Me, tag

Wearing: Big Star Shorts | BDG Shirt | Vintage Sweater - Similar | Keds Shoes

Back in the city that never sleeps and I couldn't be happier. Don't get me wrong, I love to travel.. but there's something about NYC that I just can't get enough of. The street art (that some people call graffiti) is hidden the most random places that always catch you as a nice surprise. I walked by this awesome skull piece in a Soho construction site and became so curious about the small "Love Me" plastered to the post next to it. I soon discovered that this was no random tag, but one of Curtis Kulig - the artist behind the ambiguous, mixed-message "Love Me" tags seen all over the city.

Full Bloom

Wearing: Floral Jeans | Boutique Blouse - Similar

Spring is in full bloom and I couldn't be happier. If you've been reading any trend reports lately, they most likely are telling you that "florals are huge for Spring." But hey, aren't florals always huge for Spring? They are the perfect pattern that mark the end runny noses, frozen toes, and anything else having to do with the cold. I also just really like florals.

Coming back from LA today - had the most amazing time out here for the Pasadena flea!

BarIII Flea: New York

Last weekend, thanks to Refinery29, we kicked off the BarIII Flea Market Tour right here in New York City, with the Hester Street Fair on the LES and Green Flea Market uptown. Aimee of SongofStyle and I posted up outside the BarIII pop-up shop display ready to style customers and showcase the brand's amazing clothes.

Wearing: BarIII Romper | Vintage Blazer

While at the flea, I obviously had to check out the vintage stands and found a few little treasures along the way (like a vintage Carolina Herrera blazer you'll see on my blog soon). Combining vintage and contemporary items is what my style is all about, which is why BarIII is the ideal brand for me to be representing. Overall, NYC’s flea markets were pretty great - and I didn't even mention the ridiculous amounts of food, especially the pickles! Next stop is Pasadena, California. I hear I should save up for this one…
