Hey from Sin City! Now obviously for me, what happens in Vegas isn't going to stay there because I love sharing everything with you guys! The weather is beyond perfect and I'm just so happy to be away  (even if it is for work). Last night was also so much fun... I had such a nice dinner with my boyfriend at STK and then we hit up Lavo for some late night fun. Reason I'm here: ENK is throwing one of the trade shows here this week and flew me down for some live blogging! So keep an eye out on my Instagram and such tomorrow for a fun day at #ENKVegas.

On Site Dressing

Wearing: ASOS High Gloss Pants | BarIII Sweater | Zara Heels | All Saints Beanie 

When dressing for a construction site, one must consider the following: Something to stand out, like a reflector or let's say... ridiculously glossy black pants. Oversized knits would be useful to keep warm when working outside and to hide any cuts or bruises from falling in the mud. A hard hat, or in my case a beanie - for "protective" gear. And last but not least, a great pair of shoes for when operating heavy machinery. [Sarcasm at its best and my new friend Jerry] PS- I revamped my ombre a bit at Arrojo Studio the other day (if you go ask for Mary)!

I bet we all do the same when it comes to switching from our summer to winter wardrobes - we either send clothing home to the rents, sell it, maybe even store it somewhere besides our tiny NYC closets. Yes, I do most of these myself, but I've recently started saving pieces from my summer wardrobe that I can "just add tights" to. Btw, I was inspired by a current Nifty Thrifty sale for the title of this post. Winter Whites

Here's the big question: how do we wear white jeans in the winter without looking, silly? A classic peacoat, darker color beanie, closed toe heels, suede gloves perhaps... boom. In my last post I asked you guys to share your Black Friday finds with me, and this is mine. These Rag and Bone jeans retail for much more than I got them for, trust me!

In the Army

Couldn't you picture this being my uniform if I was in the army? The ASOS leather overalls would be perfect for protecting my well-moisturized skin from scrapes and bruises, and the jacket simply... looks right. Ok, so maybe it would have to be the type of army that took on a Black Friday sale, but still. I want to hear about everyone's Black Friday and Cyber Monday finds - so do share!

Village Style

When I came across this sweatshirt at Village Style in the East Village, I immediately pictured Balenciaga and Topshop having a baby... for $15. And then I noticed that ASOS obviously already created something EXACTLY like it (here). The era of the fashionably acceptable sweatshirt has begun, and we're all about it. Standard crew necks that used to appear to me as 'bum-like', and printed sweatshirts with all sorts of weird graphics have been given a new reputation thanks to designers like Markus Lupfer and Phillip Lim.

Sadly, I forgot about these blazer that was buried in my closet (because I only wore it in Stockholm this year) and now it's sold out. Sorry guys - wish I blogged about it earlier so you all could own it! Either way, Zara has been killing it lately with their latest collections and just keep getting bigger and better. They even just came out with Zara HOME! For reals, if you haven't been to your nearest Zara lately, it's time for a shopping excursion.

Real leather, vegan leather, faux leather, full-grain leather... leather is simply leather. Now don't get me wrong, I drool over a beautiful genuine leather piece, but I don't bash myself over owning something faux either. If it looks and feels like leather, then I'll rock it. That's why in this weeks Friday's Finest I've featured pieces from all ends of the spectrum. Indulge.

So I'm sitting here with my girl Kelsey of FashionAce and she thinks I look like I have "Elvis toes." Her reasoning for this are the shiny gold shoes that look like they're ready to dance. In an instagram I took (@weworewhat) I captioned these shoes "not only are they oxfords, but they're gold, AND have cutouts... perfection in a shoe brought to you by Topshop."
