Almost Here

Wearing: Vince Leather Pants | H&M Sweater (in stores now) | ACNE Boots | ASOS Rings

This is possibly the worst timing ever, I might have strep throat and it's 4 days before fashion week starts! I don't really have much to say because I've been trying to get better all weekend, drinking all kinds of tea and at least 5 cups a day. Any quick home remedies for a sore throat guys? Ugh!

Leopard|Leather

Wearing: Opening Ceremony Dress | Sandro Jacket - Similar | Rag&Bone Hat | Acne Boots

This is from a while back, but I'm seriously obsessed with the collaboration that Chloe Sevigny did with Opening Ceremony. The dress I'm wearing is one of the many I missed out on when it first came out (borrowed this from a friend of course). I've been crazy busy recently getting ready for fashion week coming up soon and some really exciting project I can't wait to share with you guys!

On Pajama Dressing

Wearing: Rachel by Rachel Roy Top & Bottom | H&M Jacket (in stores now) - Similar | Ivanka Trump Heels

What could be better than a silky set, a classy pair of pumps, and a biker jacket to toughen it all up? When I came across this pajama esqué ensemble that just so happened to be on sale, I pictured finally having something sophisticated to sleep in, sort of like a sultry housewife (I think). But just like anything I own - including my little brothers old Nike tee that's now a crop top - I turned this pj set into street wear. Go ahead, try it!

Check Mate

Wearing: MFJewels DIY Plaid Shirt | Tsemaye Binitie Leather Pants | Topshop Boots

When feeling lazy, all I want to do is throw on an oversized top and some comfy sweats, but this NYC people. Laziness is no excuse. So this is a version of laziness I put together - plaid top, leather pants, flat ankle boots, beanie. I really love how this shirt was DIY'd and it's so simple too. Just dip an oversized flannel into bleach and voilà.

Manhattan Vintage Show

Wearing: Rare London Kimono (co) | Amarcord Vintage Jacket (in stores now) | The 2 Bandits Cuffs

If you follow me on Instagram (@weworewhat) then you know about the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show I went to this past Friday. It was basically like this; 90 of the top vintage vendors in New York gathered to create the ultimate shopping experience. Booths on booths on booths were set up in the Metropolitan Pavilion with some of the most incredible vintage finds available for purchase right then and there. It could NOT get better than this, I promise. So obviously I walked around for hours photographing everything I liked so I could come back and buy my top choices after I've seen it all. One of my favorite finds of the day is this Amarcord Vintage jacket (see above) that was made by the company from vintage leather. They just came into the store so if you want the perfect leather jacket I would suggest heading to 252 Lafayette Street (btwn Prince & Spring) ASAP. Let them know I sent you too!

Deep in Fall

Wearing: Necessary Clothing JeansJacket | Sam Edelman Perry Boots

I'm deep in thought Fall these days and loving everything boots leather, and layers. Recently, Sam Edelman and I teamed up to show fans of the brand how to style their latest Fall collection. This is one of the outfits I chose out of the three going up on their blog later this month. I'm also really loving these oxblood colored paisley jeans that I found for a super affordable price at Necessary Clothing, along with this leather-look jacket. Don't think twice about wearing faux leather or fur guys.. if you can rock it in a designer way, it'll look expensive. From one budget to the next, a deal is always a success.

Fancy Sweats

Wearing: LF Sweatshirt (in stores now) | Zara Skirt | Sam Edelman Boots (co) | ASOS Beanie | ShopJeen Sunnies | Ouroboros Ring

I might have a slight obsession with beanies and sweatshirts this Fall.. A- because I don't have to worry about my hair with a beanie/can keep warm and B- because sweatshirts are just too comfy. But hey, we can dress these two things up, can't we? Like so, the embellished arms on this sweatshirt totally changes the look and adding a leather peplum skirt with knee high boots makes the outfit a bit fancy (or in my case, acceptable NYC street wear). Don't be afraid to whip out those ordinary sweatshirts you've had for years - just give them a second look and you can turn them into something new by studding, bleaching, cutting, or embellishing the sleeves/collar.

Leather Dungarees

Wearing: ASOS Dungarees | Vintage Rolling Stones Tee - Similar | Juicy Couture Bag

They have arrived - and have exceeded my expectations! The perfect dungarees obviously brought to you by ASOS are too too good. I'm obsessed guys, and even more obsessed now that I realized they are identical to the 3.1 Phillip Lim overalls seen in the latest resort collection (here). Getting the look for less, works for me! Look for me in my leather dungarees - this Fall (yes, that rhymed).

My girl Serena (who also took my photo's) is wearing: Tibi Skirt | ASOS Sweater | YSL Bag

Major Find

Wearing: Storets Skirt (co) | Vintage Blouse (from Local Clothing) | Jennifer Zeuner Nameplate (co) | Maya Brenner Arrow Necklace (co)

I have the greatest story for you guys.. ready? For the longest time I really wanted this pair of Alexander Wang Heels (ask any of my friends, they'll tell you it's true). You might have seen them before and may be thinking they are overdone, but I think they are the most perfect pump, both classy and edgy. Anyways, while on an East Village thrifting adventure yesterday I stopped in the most random little store (I had never heard of) just out of curiosity. And guess what? There they were, sitting on the shelf of this consignment shop for only $180! Did I mention these shoes retail for about $600! There was no way these could be my size, what were they even doing here - looking brand new and spiffy. But they were, and they fit perfectly! Now that's what I call major thrifting success, or maybe just fate. I'll wear them in an outfit this week to show you guys just how perfect they are.

Pretty Woman

Wearing: W118 by Walter Baker Top (enter: weworewhat for 20% off) | LF Skirt | Wolf Circus Bracelet / Rings

When I put on this outfit I immediately though of Pretty Woman. Not in a prostitute turned escort turned lover way, but in a "that first time Julia Roberts tried on something in a department store and looked in the mirror" way. On to the outfit: I can't get enough of this Walter Baker leather panel top - the color is drop-dread and the leather panel front makes it really edgy, which I always love. Walter Baker has done some seriously rebranding lately {W118} and recently launched their e-commerce site. Make sure to use the code weworewhat at checkout for 20% off!

Under Construction

Wearing: Nicole Miller Jacket (Coming Soon) | NastyGal Dress | Cheap Monday Booties (for less)

Super excited for tonight because I'm heading to dinner with Nicole Miller herself (along with some of my favorite blogger buds)! I stopped by the NM showroom earlier this week and picked up this really great leather sleeved white denim jacket. Sticking to the black & white theme, I paired the jacket with my new open back dress from Nasty Gal and even newer Cheap Monday booties. How amazing are these shoes - they kind of remind me of something Acne would make - then again, maybe it's because they're both Swedish. DUH. If you like these booties and your a size 9, buy these!
