Scandinavian Style

Wearing: Work Custom Pants | Equipment Button Down | Ali Golden Jacket | Phillip Lim Bag | Rachel Roy Loafers | All Saints Beanie | Spell and the Gypsy Cuff

Tapping into my Scandinavian style roots (a.k.a a week spent in Stockholm), I've been loving oversized jackets and longer silhouettes on coats. Inspired by the likes of Elin Kling, Sandra Hagelstam, and anyone gracing the pages of Stockholm Streetstyle - exhibit A: this oversized wool coat with skinny leather pants fit right in. To me, scandinavian style is defined by minimalism, length, and edge. And yesterday, I proudly purchased a new Helmut Lang coat, thats simply... so cool. Here it is: Helmut Lang Moleskin Jacket. You can expect this up on my blog in an outfit post later this week (or Sunday).

UES

Wearing: IRO Jacket | Equipment Blouse | ASOS Jeans | Rachel Roy Loafers

Been spending a little too much time uptown recently because of the blackout, but I honestly can't complain. It's so beautiful up here by the park - and the shopping isn't too bad either. I feel pretty helpless though and like I should be doing more than just sitting around waiting for Con Ed to get their act together - hopefully by tomorrow night we'll have our power back. I went downtown to my apartment this morning and uy, it was a whole new world down there. Empty streets, nothing is open, pitch black everywhere... kinda scary. So proud of everyone for staying strong though, go us.

Rebel Without a Cause

Wearing: James Dean Vintage Jacket - Similar | Equipment Shirt | JBrand Cargo Pants

Channeling the rebel without a cause in my vintage denim bomber, 50's heart-throb James Dean. Recently, I've been seeing bomber jackets show up all over the fashion boards (but in a new and exciting way). Prints galore, two-tone, and multi fabric bomber jackets are a great buy for the changing seasons. Bring it on, Fall. Shop my favorite bomber jackets below, bombs away...

Red Terrace

Wearing: Equipment Shirt | ASOS Shorts | Dolce Vita Loafers | Karen Walker Sunnies

TGIF, seriously. I had a great meeting today with my friend at the Mondrian Hotel in Soho about some up-coming events this summer that I'm really excited about! If you haven't been to the Mondrian yet you're really missing out. From it's feathered lamp shades in the lobby to its luxurious Red Terrace (above), the Mondrian Soho has some of the nicest decor in NYC. Can't wait to get my drink on at Mister H later tonight and dance my butt off.

Happy Weekend!
