COMME des F*DOWN
This look I wore the other day defines what I loved so much about visiting Stockholm, Sweden this past summer - the fashion. Skinny pants, pointy toe heels, a casual tee, and long sleek coat (with a little New York edge). Crossing my fingers that I'll get to travel back to that amazing place again this summer for Stockholm Fashion Week. But first, NYFW... ah so soon!

Wearing: IRO Jacket c/o Singer22 | Vince Leather Pants c/o Singer22 | Shoe Mint Heels | Topshop Beanie
Ah slouchy leather pants, how I love thee. Before this look even became a trend, I'm proud to say I was ordering my leather pants in about 3 sizes too big (just to get this look). Now thanks to the likes of Vince, Phillip Lim, Mango, and H&M - you can get this look at any price. I paid Singer22 a visit while visiting my family at home over the weekend, and fell head over heels for these Vince slouchy leather pants, as well as this Iro jacket (and another others you'll see later this week). I know the pants seem to hurt your wallet a bit, but TRUST ME, they're worth it. CPW: Cost Per Wear people.

Dark Dressing
New arrival from H&M round 2 - mesh edition. So I was thinking, can goth be chic? When I put on this outfit to snap some pics, my photographer told me I looked...dark {gasp}. Now that's the last thing I was going for and ever thought I'd hear come out of someones mouth when describing my style. Obviously I don't always dress in all black, and maybe the netted top didn't help. However, dark dressing is the essence of NYC edge so let's just say it works.

Wearing: H&M Top (in stores now) | Work Custom Leather Pants | Alexander Wang Heels | Blue&Cream Beanie
If you haven't stopped by H&M lately, then you haven't seen their latest collections (shame on you). This shirt is just one of the many in a collection of bold prints and structured pieces. Pretty high fashion looking if you ask me. There's even a full leopard print suit that I'm thinking of sporting during fashion week next month. That, and a leather baseball cap would be sure to catch the eyes of Tommy Ton and more...

Last Minute
Now I know I'm not the only one running around doing some last minute New Years Eve shopping today, right? I'm so excited to be ringing in the new year with my closest friends but most importantly to be making some important resolutions. The first - which most of you may say "ditto" to is to live a more healthy lifestyle (with eating and exercise). The next, is to have more significant family time. My grandma is currently struggling for her life in the hospital and it has really made me appreciate my family even more than I already do. I hope you guys can help me pray for her <3 Lastly, I would like to keep growing my blog by becoming a positive influence in other girls lives. Whether it's through my style inspiration or life experiences I always hope to become somewhat of a role model for other young women.
Have an amazing and safe night guys!!

In The Market For..
As part of my campaign with NMRKT - I was officially in the market for a pair of slouchy leather pants for the longest time now. Finally, it happened. The last time I shopped in Mango was more than 6 months ago, which is not something I'm proud of, because I forgot how awesome they can be! I spotted these pants on one of my favorite swedish bloggers and called the store in Soho right away to put them on hold for me. Low and behold, they were the perfect slouchy leather pants. Cha-ching*

Wearing: Sandro Leather Jacket - Similar | Marc by Marc Jacobs Vest | Work Custom Pants | Urban Outfitters Beanie | Topshop Boots | Calvin Klein Gloves | Zara Bag
Is it just me or did this weekend (or even past week) seem like NYC was literally put on "pause" for a few days. Everything was just so quiet, empty, and dark. I've never been so grateful for lights and crowded streets - the mindset of a true New Yorker. The other day I was checking out ASOS's newest campaign with muse Charlotte Free. I wanted to share something I heard her say because for some reason it really stuck out to me. She was discussing fashion and said, "its the last art form that has so many possibilities.. everything's been painted, everything's been sculpted, but fashion.. you can really make anything of yourself." Some people will never understand why we love fashion so much, and don't see it as an art-form like I do.

Check Mate
When feeling lazy, all I want to do is throw on an oversized top and some comfy sweats, but this NYC people. Laziness is no excuse. So this is a version of laziness I put together - plaid top, leather pants, flat ankle boots, beanie. I really love how this shirt was DIY'd and it's so simple too. Just dip an oversized flannel into bleach and voilĂ .
