Lesson in Layering

In this lesson of layering, we focus on simplicity and minimalistic changes. Step 1: a sophisticated vintage black jumpsuit, also very versatile (modern version here). Adding on a chunky knit for added warmth, step 2 calls for casual comfort. In step 3 we are taking this look out and about, needing to spice things up a bit with this structured white leather vest (that can be found in stores and Topshop of H&M trend if you're lucky). Last but not least, it's freaking cold outside so bundle up in your winter coat and throw on a beanie to complete the look. Lesson in layering, complete.

The other day The Reformation had a sample sale at their lower east side store - and it was a success to say the least. I picked up this little number, which I couldn't believe was marked down to only $50. I've been pretty hooked on phonics jumpsuits lately which goes hand in hand with my love for overalls. These new Cole Haan loafers are pretty great too, and really really comfortable. Loving the mix of oxblood red and purple shades in contrast to the autumn trees, ah. 

The Green Jumpsuit

Wide-leg jumpers, especially ones like these.. are just simply cool. They're effortless, comfortable, and sometimes as chic as your mother's mother {winky face}. The girls at Gypsy05 recently sent me a few gorgeous silk pieces including this emerald green jumpsuit, and I'm hooked. Shop more jumpers below -
