Just because it's cold outside, doesn't mean you can't wear a dress. And, just because you wear a dress doesn't mean it has to look girly. I'm all about changing the expected norm in fashion - and creating a look that people respond to as "wow I would not have thought to put that together."

Super excited for tonight because I'm heading to dinner with Nicole Miller herself (along with some of my favorite blogger buds)! I stopped by the NM showroom earlier this week and picked up this really great leather sleeved white denim jacket. Sticking to the black & white theme, I paired the jacket with my new open back dress from Nasty Gal and even newer Cheap Monday booties. How amazing are these shoes - they kind of remind me of something Acne would make - then again, maybe it's because they're both Swedish. DUH. If you like these booties and your a size 9, buy these!

Yesterday was a great day. I had a ton of showroom visits and an awesome event to top it all off. Lots of thanks to ODA PR for my new boho chic dress by Ramy Brook. NMRKT has been throwing these Fashion Series parties all summer at the Mondrian Hotel in Soho and now they've taken us up top to the brand new rooftop called Soaked. My besties Kelsey (FashionAce) and Freddy (BluePerk) joined me for cocktails and the best views in all of downtown NYC.

You might have noticed lately that I started incorporating what I think will be more interesting posts and pictures to blog about. My new Friday's Finest post, inspiration pictures, and maybe even some lookbooks I love will start grace the pages of weworewhat, so get excited! I'm pretty obsessed with this Nom De Plume dress I actually cut from a tee to a tank because let's face it... NYC has been a freaking sauna lately.

Currently Obsessed with this Cheap Monday dress and finally had a chance to take it to the streets last week due to NYC's heat stroke. Any around in Soho today make sure to stop by the A|X Armani Exchange store from 11am-2pm to enjoy a pretty cool event and get styled by me! Howling Out | Make Stuff Party

Wearing: Zara Dress | Cambridge Satchel Bag | Converse | Brooklyn Charm Bullet NecklaceLast night I got crafty with a group of girls for a DIY "Make Stuff" party I hosted along with the fabulous Rebecca Zhou. We studded, wrapped, and tied knots in bolts to make two of our favorite DIY projects. It was so much doing these activities in a group setting, especially because we served wine and yummy snacks. I couldn't ask for anything more right now... the weather is beyond gorgeous, I'm wearing one of my favorite new floral dresses, and life is simply good. Happy Monday everyone - I hope you guys get a chance to step outside today if you're in NY. Today I shot in Washington Square park where there was live music, free coffee, and tons of happy people around. Floral prints are back for Spring/Summer, but this time they're brighter and bolder. ASOS has a ton of adorable prints out right now, so definitely check out the site (here) for some great dresses.

I can confidently say this dress is pretty high up there as one of my favorite dresses ever. The other day I went to Walter Baker's showroom and pulled a ton of pieces from their Spring/Summer collection - so definitely expect to see a lot more of his stuff on my blog. Walter's been killing it lately with awesome colors and prints, and trust me, you're not ready for the amazingness of his Fall collection.
