Stockholm Shoesday

Hello new friends {speaking to inanimate objects}. Meet two pairs of my favorite new shoes from this week in Stockholm - Cheap Monday Wedge Booties and Zara Ankle Boots. I'm flying home today and it's very bittersweet, but boy am I pumped to sleep in my ridiculously comfy bed tonight. There's nothing like coming home to the yellow cabs, busy streets, angry apartment supers, and my city that never sleeps. I'm coming for ya, NYC.

Day 3 of fashion week and also my last day in Stockholm {sad face}. It's been an incredible week and I feel so lucky to have been given this opportunity, and experience such an amazing city. From the fashion to the people to the streets to the nightlife - Stockholm is definitely a place I will be visiting again shortly (hopefully). Going back to the beginnings of We Wore What, I took a bunch of street style photos this week and really enjoyed it. What do we think - should I start doing this more often as a weekly feature?!

Stockholm, I never want to leave you. Day 2 of MBFW was as glamorous as the day before, and the day before that. One of my favorite parts of this trip to Sweden is that I came here only knowing one person - and now, everywhere I go I say hi to at least a dozen familiar faces and friends. The highlight of my day was being photographed by one of my inspirations, Caroline and her partner of Stockholm Streetstyle. Hey Hey from Stockholm, Sweden for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! It's Day 2 here and I couldn't possibly be having a better time. From the moment I arrived to - well - to be continued, the Swedes have been treating me like their own. I started off my trip with a night out with the VideofyMe team. Let's just say we had a little too much fun exploring the Stockholm nightlife scene. The next day was my only free time to check out the shopping here - ah the shopping - I think I want to move here just for that. There are so many awesome stores here with really amazing fashion. My wallet's hurting. Some of my favorite stores are Monki, Weekdays, Awesome Rags, Whyred, Acne, 5th Ave Shoe Repair, and so many more. I'm writing to you now from halfway through my day (a break between fashion shows). I've been sitting front row with the Bon magazine team at every show, and have been soaking up every second of it. I've also been hanging with fellow blogger buds such as Angelica Blick (featured above), Zanita, Coco Rosa, and more... thanks so Bloggers Wardrobe. When I put on this outfit I immediately though of Pretty Woman. Not in a prostitute turned escort turned lover way, but in a "that first time Julia Roberts tried on something in a department store and looked in the mirror" way. On to the outfit: I can't get enough of this Walter Baker leather panel top - the color is drop-dread and the leather panel front makes it really edgy, which I always love. Super excited for tonight because I'm heading to dinner with Nicole Miller herself (along with some of my favorite blogger buds)! I stopped by the NM showroom earlier this week and picked up this really great leather sleeved white denim jacket. Sticking to the black & white theme, I paired the jacket with my new open back dress from Nasty Gal and even newer Cheap Monday booties. How amazing are these shoes - they kind of remind me of something Acne would make - then again, maybe it's because they're both Swedish. DUH. If you like these booties and your a size 9, buy these!

Counting down the hours til my flight on Friday night to Stockholm - woot woot. So I've randomly been running around this city in my overalls lately. To showroom visits, coffee meetings, and to Trader Joe's.. I've looked to my overalls for comfort and ease. The last time I wore these babies were over a month ago, so I think us reuniting has got me hooked. The mack daddy of overalls however, are these Stella McCartney bad boys (here) as seen on Alexa Chung and Man Repeller (now 60% off)!
