1 Piece 5 Ways

"Florals for spring? Groundbreaking." This sarcastic remark made by Miranda Priestly in "The Devil Wears Prada" may ring true, but hey, we love them anyway. Personally, my love hate relationship with florals dates back to the days of raiding grandma's closet. The patterns were simple, the colors were drabby, and don't even get me started on the cut. However this is 2012, and you can bet this Spring offers dare-to-go-there color palettes, out-of-the-box prints, and structure's with an edge. Case in point: my pick for the Refinery 29 1 Piece 5 Ways Challenge, a floral jacket from BarIII's Spring collection available exclusively at Macys. When given this challenge, a statement was made that turned up the heat - "Nobody knows how to get more mileage out of their wardrobe than a seriously savvy style blogger". Hopefully I validated this by the following, a floral jacket styled in 5 very different ways... What now Miranda Priestly?

Oh Monday

Wearing: Work Custom Pants | Sparkle&Fade Shirt | Remi & Emmy Bag | Deena&Ozzy Oxfords

Happy Monday - well - maybe it's not so happy, but add a little caffeine in your life and most of us are good to go. Notice the incredible scenery in these pics? This is my dads new house in Port Washington and oh yeah, that's his frisky/adorable puppy Duke. Notice duke, loving my Remi & Emmy bag just as much as I do.
So, this week you can expect a couple of street style posts (which I know I've been slacking on) and hopefully my new blog design will be ready to launch!

Playtime With Wildfox

Just to change it up a bit, I decided to share my most recent collaboration with you guys. A very good friend of mine who is the understudy of a ridiculous fashion photographer approached me about doing a Wildfox Couture inspired shoot with a ton of fun toys. Which brings me to it's title "Playtime With Wildfox." The raw, vintage photography is by the awesome photographer - Leah Silberman. We had so much doing this shoot because of the endless candy, blasting music, and dozens of balloons. And those leopard lips... how insane?! More photo's from the shoot will be up on her site soon. Hope you like them!

All clothing in this shoot is Wildfox Couture
