Brooklyn Shares

Wearing: Reformation Sweatshirt - Similar | F21 Pants | Jennifer Zeuner SnakeBar, Nameplate Necklaces | Leather Cap | Acne Boots | Carrera Sunnies

Yesterday I did the unthinkable (kidding, sort of) and traveled into Brooklyn to visit my favorite vintage factory, Nifty Thrifty. I used my credits - which is all thanks to you guys for signing up (here) - and picked up some pretty great pieces including a Penny Lane like coat and an awesome plaid blazer. Can't wait to share them with you... Speaking of sharing, a few of my friends have been raving about how great Forever21 has been lately, so the other day I checked it out myself. These floral pants and a printed bomber jacket later, I concur. You never know where you'll find great clothes guys (one of my fashion mottos).

BTW: a bunch of you have been commenting about how cold I must be, and you're absolutely right. Just so ya know, I've been wearing a fur/down jacket every single day. I've simply been throwing it off for a quick outfit shot (because obviously what's under is more important). So you're welcome, for freezing my ass off for a little bit everyday in the name of fashion haha.

We Wore What x Nifty Thrifty Curated Collection

Here it is guys! My first ever vintage collection is now shop-able on NiftyThrifty.com. I'm so excited to be sharing vintage pieces I hand-picked myself just for my amazing followers and friends! All of the clothing I'm wearing in the above photos is just a glimpse to what's available on the site. I know it can be hard to purchase vintage clothing online, which is why I'm telling you that I would not have chosen any pieces that I wouldn't wear myself  So trust me - you'll love whatever you buy! If you guys have any questions about how something actually looks in person feel free to email me weworewhat@gmail.com. Also definitely send pics or tag me on Instagram when you receive the items!

and here's a little behind scene video of bloopers and attempted intro's...

Just Add Tights

Wearing: Zara Dress - Similar | Commando Tights | OASIS Booties | Helmut Lang Jacket | Phillip Lim Bag | All Saints Beanie | Vintage Sunnies (from American Apparel)

I bet we all do the same when it comes to switching from our summer to winter wardrobes - we either send clothing home to the rents, sell it, maybe even store it somewhere besides our tiny NYC closets. Yes, I do most of these myself, but I've recently started saving pieces from my summer wardrobe that I can "just add tights" to. Btw, I was inspired by a current Nifty Thrifty sale for the title of this post. Speaking of, make sure you sign up before next week because there is something coming up that you do NOT want to miss - maybe a collection of vintage clothing curated by me, or something like that.....

Those Days in BK

Wearing: Mcginn Blazer | Cheap Monday Beanie | Urban Outfitters Plaid Shirt | ASH Booties

It's always a nice getaway when venturing into Brooklyn for whatever excuse comes my way. This time it was a visit to the Nifty Thrifty HQ that took me on the L train to Bedford Avenue - the avenue of the oh-so-cool and oh-so-Brooklyn. I had the chance to check out the thousands of pounds worth of vintage clothing Nifty Thrifty has in their archive, and you bet there's an awesome collaboration coming up with us two in the near future. BTW - if you haven't yet, sign up here. I topped of my day with a salted caramel macaroon from an oh-so-brooklyn-cafe Toby's Estate.

NIFTY THRIFTY

Wearing: Vintage Betsy Johnson Skirt - Similar | Nifty Thrifty Curated Coat | Ash Booties

Boy do I have something special for you today. Introducing the official launch of a Brooklyn based company (just as it should be), Nifty Thrifty (click to sign up). So here's the breakdown - it's specially curated vintage collections where each piece is better than the next. This entire outfit I'm wearing is from their first collection that you can find online. Big things in store for this company guys... On a side note, I just wanted to point out that sometimes I do wear vintage fur pieces that have either been gifted or handed down to me, and I never mean to offend anyone by doing so. I will definitely try to stick to faux when it comes to any clothing because I too love animals (and have two dogs of my own) but, please note that I respect everyone who is against this.
